PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:

While very resistant to stains, all natural stone is subject to some staining and ours in no different.  While our stone is treated with the most advanced sealers and sealing systems available today, cooking oil, fruit juice (acidic), chemicals such as acetone and wine can stain our stone.

CARE and MAINTENANCE:

As with all natural stone and natural materials, care must be taken to keep the surface clean.  Spills should be wiped up reasonably quickly to minimize the chance of staining. 

All pieces are finished at the factory with one of several sealing options depending on the ultimate use for your stone.  A high quality food-grade wax is typically applied as the last step to enhance the natural finish of your piece. Frequent cleaning with water and a clean rag is all that is usually required to keep your stone looking fresh.

Reapplying wax at regular intervals will maintain the highest level of stain resistance and requires a minimal effort as only a very thin coat needs to be applied and buffed.
